Environmental Permit Management for PT Bio Medika Citra Medical Lab

PT Bio Medika Mandiri Jaya operates in the medical laboratory and health clinic services sector through its Bio Medika Citra Medical Laboratory and Main Clinic unit. Medical laboratory operations have the potential to impact the environment, particularly through the management of medical waste and Hazardous and Toxic Materials (B3) waste.

To fulfill its environmental protection and management obligations, the company is required to prepare an Environmental Management Document (DPLH) in accordance with Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. This document serves as a guideline for environmental management and monitoring for operating businesses that do not yet have an environmental document.

This project involved the preparation of a DPLH and detailed technical details for the management of B3 waste generated from medical laboratory activities. The document preparation includes identifying sources of environmental impacts, formulating environmental management and monitoring efforts, and planning a B3 waste management system in accordance with applicable regulations.

The technical team carries out the document processing process through several stages: reviewing laboratory operational activities, identifying waste sources and potential environmental impacts, collecting technical field data, preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (DPLH) documents and technical details of hazardous and toxic waste, and submitting and coordinating with relevant agencies until the documents meet environmental permit requirements.

Through the preparation of these documents, Bio Medika Citra's Medical Laboratory and Main Clinic can fulfill its environmental permit obligations and operate in an orderly manner and in accordance with applicable regulations.
