PT Sinar Meadow International Indonesia's Technical Emission Standards

PT Sinar Meadow International Indonesia is a vegetable oil processing company that produces margarine, shortening, and specialty fats for the food and bakery industries. The company is located in the Pulo Gadung Industrial Estate, East Jakarta.

In its operations, the company uses coal-fired boilers as production support facilities. These activities generate emissions from stationary sources, requiring them to meet emission quality standards as stipulated in the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number 19 of 2021.

The Emissions Technical Approval (Pertek) process begins with identifying emission sources, collecting boiler and chimney technical data, and evaluating production capacity. A team of experts then prepares a technical document containing emission estimation calculations, an evaluation of compliance with quality standards, an air pollution control system (multicyclone), and an emissions monitoring plan.

The prepared document is then submitted through the JAKEVO system, leading to the issuance of an Emissions Technical Approval Decree, which serves as the legal basis for the company's emission source operations.
